AKA, the song that got me hooked, and my favorite (impossible as it is to choose, I know) to this day.
One of my favorite Interpol songs, and one of the most (I think) underrated on Bright Lights. I look at some girls sometimes and the last forty-five seconds of this song come on in my head. Paul sings ”it took time then I found you” like he’s discovering it within himself for the first time, and at the same time like he’s known it all along, and wants her to know it too. Just pure, painful desperation.
Fucking beautiful and heartbreaking, man.
